Small Business Targeted Revitalization Matching Grant Program
Revitalize Harlingen is a small business site improvement matching grant program offered by the Harlingen Economic Development Corporation that will provide, in the form of an incentive grant, up to Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) for site and store front improvements; encouraging the retention of jobs for business enterprises in the City of Harlingen to act as a stimulus for economic activity.
The program provides financial assistance for improvements to eligible commercial businesses or property owners for eligible renovation costs that have occurred or will occur from December 1, 2023, through August 31, 2024, subject to the terms of the grant and final approval from the Board of Directors and the City Commission. The program eligibility is discretionary and may be discontinued by the Board of Directors at any time.
Pre-Approval Application
To determine if the site improvements are eligible for grant funds, the project must be approved by the Harlingen EDC staff prior to beginning any improvements. Funds will be reimbursed to the business upon completion of the pre-approved site improvements and approved funding application.
Funding Application
Once the pre-approved site improvements are completed, the business owner will need to apply for the Revitalize Harlingen grant funding (link below).
