Equip Harlingen
SMALL BUSINESS MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM
Equip Harlingen is a small business matching grant program offered by the Harlingen Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) for new equipment purchases for businesses looking to expand their production capabilities. This grant encourages the retention and creation of jobs for business enterprises in the City of Harlingen, TX to stimulate further economic activity. The program provides up to $3,000 in matching funds for each pre-approved purchase. No funds are provided up front.
Eligible commercial businesses may receive financial assistance for pre-approved equipment purchases made by August 31, 2025, subject to the terms of the grant and final approval from the HEDC Board of Directors and Harlingen City Commission. Program eligibility is discretionary and may be discontinued by the HEDC Board of Directors at any time or when the annual fund allocation is exhausted.

Upon approval from the HEDC Board of Directors and Harlingen City Commission, the Equip Harlingen program may return at the start of our next Fiscal Year 2026-2027, which begins on October 1, 2026.
