Harlingen EDC welcomes new Manager and CEO Orlando Campos
HARLINGEN, TEXAS (JULY 10, 2023) – The Harlingen Economic Development Corporation (Harlingen EDC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Orlando Campos as the new manager and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following a nationwide search.
Campos, a Brownsville native, joins the Harlingen EDC with 27 years of experience in economic development, previously serving as the director of economic development for the Town of Addison beginning in 2011.
“Mr. Orlando Campos’ stepping into the role of manager and CEO marks an exciting chapter for the Harlingen EDC,” said Board President Javier De Leon. “His wealth of experience and strong leadership skills give us full confidence in his power to steer our community towards success.”
In response to his appointment, Campos expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am very excited to start my new role with the Harlingen Economic Development Council and helping to support the positive growth of the community. Harlingen has a lot of great projects in the pipeline and is poised to have tremendous growth in the near future."
