Workforce Wednesday Job Fair Returns May 11
HARLINGEN, TEXAS (April 18, 2022) – The City of Harlingen and Harlingen EDC, in partnership with Workforce Solutions Cameron and the Greater Chamber of Harlingen, will be hosting the next Workforce Wednesday event on May 11, from 9 AM to 12 PM, at Casa de Amistad, 1204 Fair Park Blvd. in Harlingen.
Since August of 2021, the job fair series has connected employers and job seekers to fill job openings across Harlingen and the region.
Workforce Solutions Cameron is currently seeking employers to participate in the Wednesday, May 11 event. There is no cost for employers to participate in the job fair or for the public to attend. “The collaborative effort between the City of Harlingen, the Harlingen Economic Development Corporation, and Workforce Solutions Cameron began in an effort to connect employers and job seekers together,” Rey Tejada, Workforce Solutions Cameron, said.
“The career opportunities provided range from entry-level to all levels of experience.”
Close to 30 employers were present during February’s Workforce Wednesday event. As before, job seekers can expect to find job openings in a variety of industries including, healthcare, law enforcement, education, service and hospitality, technical trade, and others.
“Workforce Wednesday continues to be an event that brings together local employers with job seekers,” Raudel Garza, Harlingen EDC CEO, said.
“We appreciate all our local companies who are committed to helping us by providing good-paying jobs for our Harlingen residents.”
“We must also help them recruit the talent necessary for them to thrive in our Harlingen economy, and we look forward to seeing everyone on May 11th from 9 am till noon.”
